Furano Ski Resort is celebrated for its outstanding powder snow, which consistently ranks among the best in the world. The resort is in a great location that gets a lot of snow from Siberian storm conditions. Each year, it receives about seven meters of light, dry snow. This powder makes skiing and snowboarding easy, allowing all skill levels to glide smoothly down the slopes. After it snows, the untouched trails offer a perfect place for those who want to explore untracked powder, making it ideal for backcountry adventures.

With 28 meticulously groomed courses spread across the two main areas—Kitanomine and Furano—there is an abundance of options that cater to every skill level. The Kitanomine zone operates from mid-December to late March, while the Furano zone welcomes snow lovers from late November until early May. Among the notable features of the resort is its impressive vertical drop of over 950 meters, offering exhilarating experiences for advanced skiers while still providing friendly runs for beginners and families.

The resort has a well-designed lift system. It features a modern three km six-person gondola that takes skiers to the top. From there, visitors can enjoy stunning views of the Tokachi mountain range. For those interested in nighttime skiing, special evening hours allow adventurers to enjoy well-lit runs under a canopy of stars.
