Ancient Treasures Come to Tokyo: National Museum Exhibition Highlights Buddhist Sculptor Unkei

The Nara temple Kōfukuji is home to some of the finest Buddhist sculptures in Japan. Created by the sculptor Unkei some eight centuries ago, this collection is rarely made viewable, but is now on display at the Tokyo National Museum in Ueno Park in a not-to-be-missed exhibition.
