Tokyo DisneySea
With its immersive theming and sophisticated atmosphere, Disney aficionados frequently rate Tokyo DisneySea as the best Disney park of all.

Tokyo DisneySea is the crown jewel of Tokyo Disney Resort, Chiba. While both DisneySea and its sister park Tokyo Disneyland are included in GaijinPot’s Top 5 Theme Parks in Japan, DisneySea is totally unique. In fact, with its immersive theming and sophisticated atmosphere, Disney aficionados frequently rate Tokyo DisneySea as the best Disney park of all.
The Magic of the Sea

The name DisneySea is a play on the classic Disneyland moniker. Visitors can explore eight exotically themed ports: Mediterranean Harbour, Mysterious Island, Mermaid Lagoon, Arabian Coast, Lost River Delta, Port Discovery, American Waterfront and the newly opened Fantasy Springs.
The marine theme extends to attractions like the Venetian Gondolas and DisneySea Transit Steamer, which offer guests a view of the park from the water. Two water-based shows also replace the classic Disney parade. First up is a daytime cruise featuring the park’s original characters, Duffy & Friends, followed by the illuminated evening spectacular Believe! Sea of Dreams.
Disney for the Grownups

One reason for DisneySea’s enormous popularity is its grown-up appeal. Several of the park’s themed ports are designed to make guests feel like they’re travelling abroad, and the attention to detail is exquisite. Meanwhile, attractions like Tower of Terror and Journey to the Center of the Earth offer thrills best suited to older riders.
DisneySea is also the only Tokyo Disney Resort park that serves alcohol. For the most refined experience, visitors should board the S.S. Colombia steam liner and sip cocktails in the Teddy Roosevelt Lounge.
If you do have little ones in tow, never fear! DisneySea still has plenty of attractions for kids, including rides based on family favourites like Toy Story, Frozen and The Little Mermaid. Families can also capture some extra Disney magic through meet-and-greets with beloved characters.
How to Enjoy Tokyo DisneySea

To enjoy Tokyo DisneySea to the fullest, you’ll need to download the Tokyo Disney Resort app. Using the app is the easiest way to buy tickets to enter Tokyo DisneySea. Once inside, you can use the app to navigate the park, check attraction wait times, and make reservations at restaurants.
The app is also the only way to secure special passes for popular rides. These include paid-for Disney Premium Access (DPA) passes, and first-come first-serve Standby Passes. Attractions in the newest port, Fantasy Springs, currently require either a DPA or Standby pass to ride. Check out our guide on how to get into Fantasy Springs so you don’t miss out on the fun!
If you’re looking to splurge on the most immersive DisneySea experience of all, why not check into one of the park’s two luxury hotels? Guests can choose between the Mediterranean-themed Hotel Miracosta or the brand new Fantasy Springs Hotel for an extra sprinkling of fairy dust.
