Appi Kogen is known for its excellent snow quality. Located at 40 degrees north latitude, it shares this geographical advantage with globally acclaimed ski resorts such as Aspen in the USA and Arlberg in Austria. The region has a unique climate with low humidity and plenty of snowfall. This creates ideal conditions for skiers and snowboarders, allowing them to enjoy excellent powder snow. The resort has north-facing slopes, which provide great conditions for visitors during the winter season.

The resort has four main areas: Central, Sailar, Second and Nishimori. You can reach each area using fast lifts and an eight-person gondola. Skiers of all skill levels will find options that meet their needs. Over a dozen courses stretch beyond two kilometers, catering to a wide range of preferences and abilities. Appi Kogen also prides itself on its tree-run zones, which have significantly expanded in recent years. This ski area offers six special tree-run zones for skiers who want to find untouched snow. These areas allow skiers to explore deep powder, which is hard to find in many Japanese ski resorts.
